The first thing that hit me about this mixtape is what a great voice Lady Red has. This is RED is a great intro track but Boom Boom had my head nodding; strong beat and lycrical strong. The beats are old skool and she flows really well. I love the freestyle she goes in hard. The 3rd track Spoiled Rotten is slower and she is in perfect time with the beat. I love Fireflame spitter a lot. This mixtape is what USA artists are really good at; Hip Hop. We need to pay attention to her she will be big. Get at Me ft Moka Blast is a track that can be released. I cant believe this mixtape is free. DJ Ames linked up with a crazy artist on this one.
As we get half way through the tape we get a slower jam feat Boggard. This track is how it should be done. I want this hiphop in the UK. Im really excited to hear quality beats and lyrics on a free mixtape. I can’t pick my favourite tracks at all. Usually i find 3/4 I like but every track grabs me on here. Her vocals slide over every track whatever the beat, fast or slow. Lose yourself is a seductive track and Lady Red eats the beat with her distinctive voice.
Lady Red is heavily supported by Moka Blast all through the tape and I can see why. Don’t Leave and Love fades end the mixtape with a strong presence. She pulls out an old beat from Biggie on the last track and makes it her own.
Ames gives it his usually signature and keeps the tape all about the artist. You have to download this tape and get in your ipod. Follow her on twitter as I expect she will be everywhere soon.
